Anna Kirsten Esmeralde Hermosa Orille, professionally known as Kristine Hermosa, is a gorgeous Filipina actress and model. She is widely recognized for portraying the role of “Ynamorata “Yna” Macaspac” in a soap opera series “Pangako Sa ‘Yo”.
Early Life
Kristine was born on the 9th of September, 1983 in Masbate, Philippines to Maximillian Orille (father) and Maria Alma Hermosa-Orille (mother). She has three siblings namely, Kathleen Hermosa, Joshua Hermosa Orille, and Maxine Hermosa. Reportedly, Kristine is the second of her three siblings and is very close to her sister, Kathleen. According to the sources, Hermosa did her schooling at ABS-CBN Distance Learning Center and later went to Colegio De San Pedro, Philippines, and graduated from University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines.

The exquisite actress began her career at the age of 12 in 1995 by appearing in a comedy show “Ang TV”. In 1996, she played the role of “Tintin Fernandez” in a series “Gimik”. Later, in 1998 she made her debut in the film industry by appearing as “Willie” in the comedy film “Nagbibinata”. She did two films namely, “Gimik: The Reunion” as “Suzette Pia” and “Oo Na… Mahal Na Kung Mahal” as “Chrissie”. In 2000, she appeared in the film “Minsan Minahal Kita” as “Pia”. In the same year, she starred in a primetime soap opera series “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” as “Ynamorata “Yna” Macaspac” and became widely known for her excellent acting. She did the role of “Celine” in the movie “Trip” and “Marian“ in “Forevermore” in 2001 and 2002 respectively.

In 2004, she starred in three films, titled “All My Life” as “Louie”, “Bcuz of U” as “Ria” and in “Enteng Kabisote: Okay ka, Fairy Ko: The Legend” as “Faye”. She did a recurring role in “Enteng Kabisote 2: Okay Ka Fairy Ko: The Legend Continues”, the second installment of the “Enteng Kabisote” film series in 2005. Later in 2006, she was cast in “Love Spell Presents: Click Na Click” as “Wena Eugenio”, “Sineserye Presents: Palimos Ng Pag-Ibig” as “Ditas”, “Your Song Presents: Christmas Is” where she appeared as a Guest Star, also she portrayed “Faye” in “Enteng Kabisote 3: The Legend Goes On and On and On”.
In 2007, she yet again did a recurring role in “Enteng Kabisote 4: Okay Ka Fairy Ko…The Beginning of the Legend”. After that in 2009, she charactered “Maruja S. Martinez” in a mini-series “Nasaan Ka Maruja?” and as “Angela “Ella” Alferos” in the series “Dahil May Isang Ikaw”. In 2013, she appeared in a sitcom series “Vampire Ang Daddy Ko” as “Yehey”. She also played the role of “Batch” in the series “Hay, Bahay!” in 2016 which ended in 2017. In 2018, she did a supporting role of “Malaya” in a fantasy series “Bagani”.

She had been recognized for various awards since her career began. In 2001, she was selected for “Most Popular Love Team” with Jericho Rosales for her movie “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” by GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards. Yet again, she was raised for the same award in the year 2002. Later in 2006, she got recognition for the award “Box-Office Queen” by GMMS Box-Office Entertainment Awards. In 2010, she was nominated for “Hall of Fame Hot 100” by FHM Philippines and in the following year, for the “New York Festivals Awardee” by 2011 New York Festivals for her film, “Dahil May Isang Ikaw”.
