When Dylan Carter came on the stage for the blind auditions for “The Voice, Season 24”, he chose to sing the song, “I Look to You” by Whitey Houston. Just after listening to the pleasant sound and the voice of the song, Gwen Stefani was the first coach to turn her chair. After that, other judges, John Legend, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire, turned their chairs facing towards Dylan.
Dylan himself became emotional while giving the auditions, but, he continued to perform. After the song was finished, McEntire praised the voice and said it was something like spiritual or secular. She said she could feel the emotions of Dylan while he was singing.
McEntire’s eyes filled with tears and she said, “That’s when you know you’ve got a great song and a great singer when it touches your heart.”
On the other hand, the judge, Horan joked and said to Dylan, “You made the queen cry.” he called Dylan’s performance “….spectacular and you could really feel the emotions….” the coach also said that there was a pitch issue which was there in the song but was understandable.
