Danny McCray is an American Football player who played for Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears. He used to play freestyle and often backed up both safety and linebacker. Currently, he is in the limelight because of his participation in the CBS TV show named Survivor 41st season where the sole survivor will win $1 million.

Early Life

Danny McCray was born on 10th March 1988 in Houston, Texas, United States of America. The names of his parents are Roger Wayne Harris and La Quita McCray- Harris. He has two sisters named Kemberly and Dannyell. At a young age, he actively participated in playing various sports. Danny has completed his high school education at Westfield High School. Later for his higher and further studies, he went to Louisiana State University. During his school life, he enjoyed playing football for the school and university teams.

Danny began his career in the field of Football. In 2004 he helped his school football team to a second-place finish at Class 5A state championship. While at university, he played 52 games with 13 starts and recorded 196 tackles. In 2010 he was signed by Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. He was playing in their special team. Along with that he was seen competing against Chicago Bears and many other teams. In 2013 he decided to remain with the team while his salary was reduced and was avoided being waived. The new special team coordinator Rich Bisaccia changed his role which affected his tackle tricks.

On 18th March 2014, he signed a one-year contract with Chicago Bears. His best game was seen against New York Jets where he had 10 tackles on defense. On 14th May 2015 he again was signed by the Dallas Cowboys to replace the special team’s player named C.J. Spillman. He scored 4 special teams tackles and was not re-resigned after the season. After his retirement, he became a fan of a show named Survivor and now came up as one of the casts in the 41st Season of Survivor will be seen competing with other contestants for the grand prize of $1 million.
