Marcel Theo Hall, better known by his stage name Biz Markie, was an American rapper, singer, DJ, record producer, actor, comedian, and writer who was born in Manhattan. “Just a Friend” was his best-known song, which reached the Top 40 in many countries in 1989. Markie has been dubbed “the Clown Prince of Hip Hop” for his role as the “Clown Prince of Hip Hop.”
Early Life
Markie was born in Manhattan, in the Harlem neighborhood, to a family of four. Born on Long Island and graduated from Brentwood High School in 1982, Markie began his professional music career in New York City nightclubs before moving on to perform at colleges in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, where he garnered a regional reputation.

Big Fun in the Big Town starred Biz Markie (1986). “Vapors” and “Pickin’ Boogers” were also on the CD. On October 10, 1989, Cold Chillin’/Warner Bros. published The Biz Never Sleeps. Markie’s most successful track was “Just a Friend”, in which he raps and sings. Published by Cold Chillin’/Warner Bros. Gilbert O’Sullivan sued Markie, claiming that the album’s “Alone Again” sampled his song “Alone Again (Naturally)”. Warner Bros. Records Inc., which required all samples to be approved by the original artist. As a result, Warner Bros. had to pull Cold Chillin’s I Need a Haircut from stores, and all labels had to clear samples with artists before releasing albums.
Widespread Fame

In episode 5 of Fastlane in 2002-03, he played a nightclub DJ. In 2003, he voiced several characters in the international TV series Kung Faux. That year he was on The Andy Milonakis Show.
Wild ‘n Out seasons 1 and 3 featured Markie. Markie also had a beatboxing section on the Nick Jr. shows Yo Gabba Gabba! Markie debuted as Chris Rock’s em “Just a Friend,” “The Breaks,” and Daft Punk’s “Robot Rock” were among Markie’s setlist highlights. 9.11.2010 Biz was on Aquabats Listen! Markie performed “Just a Friend” with Jeff Goldblum on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on November 11, 2010.

Biz Markie is married to Tara Markie.Before his death, he was not in any relationship with anybody other than his wife but because of his popularity many females wanted to marry him, but regrettably, their aspirations couldn’t be accomplished. Biz is survived by his wife and two children, a daughter named Averi and a son whose name is unknown. His rep Jenni Izumi confirmed this remorse by releasing a statement that reads,
