He was considered one of the 5th-best recruits in Pennsylvania by Rivals, 6th-best by 247Sports, earned the ranking of No. 78 overall, and was listed as the player no. 121 by 247 Sports, finished with the No. 123 Composite Ranking by the 247Sports. Wooga was rated as a three-star prospect by ESPN. He was one of the players’ three-time all-state picks during that period.

College Career

He began with 37 games overall and had a start with only 34. During the season, he averaged 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per game. He began his playing career at college for the first time in September 2021 while standing against Canisius.

He recorded the season-high 12 points in 18 minutes while playing in the team at the Florida Atlantic Games on 16th November 2021. While playing in the NCAA Tournament 2023, Poplar suffered an injury on 20th March 2023 because he fell on his tailbone, as told by Miami’s head coach Jim Larranaga.
