Born in 1988, Toya Boudy is 39 years old as of February 2023. Since childhood, she had a passion to work in her mother’s kitchen. She was only nine years old when she began making fries and potato chips in her home’s kitchen. After seeking guidance and push from her parents, she went to Nunez Community College Culinary Arts program. She had her education under the guidance of Chef Ruth Varisco, who has always remained one of the greatest influencers in Toya’s life. She received her degree in Associate of Applied Science in Food Service Production and Management.

Toya earned the honor of Louisiana’s Best Chef in 2018 and 2019. She has achieved a lot with her culinary experiences. Toya has been partnered with Reconstruction, a non-profit organization working to encourage black youth to build cooking series and contribute to extracurricular courses at the global level. While partnering with them, she has her own cooking course called Cooking For The Soul, which further teaches the history of each dish, along with the impact on the communities.

Personal Life
Toya is the mother of three children and says that she can’t wait to pass her culinary skills to her children. Although she calls it a sister’s dinner, Toya Boudy says that it all started when she was sitting with her sister at her mother’s house. She said that she wanted to do something for her children and it all turned into family dinners where one would bring the wine, the other would bring the dishes, and so on.
The little kids call it “siblings dinner” and they all enjoy the dinner together with the whole family including two sisters and their four children (two boys and two girls). She also says that her husband, Christopher Boudy, is also good at making dishes and she loves to cater to him in the kitchen.
