Samantha Win also known as Samantha win Tjhia or Samantha Jo is a Canadian Actress and Martial artist famously known to have represented Canada at the International Wushu tournaments and for movies like “Man of steel”, “Justice League” etc. She is anticipated to appear in the upcoming movie “Army of Dead” in 2021.
Early Life
Samantha was born on March 29th, 1991 in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. She is of mixed ethnicity as she was born in a Chinese Canadian family. Her father Charles is Chinese while her mother Leslie is a Canadian. Her mother is a Black belt in Jiu-jitsu and started training Samantha in the same when she was four years old. Samantha later shifted to Wushu when she turned 12.
Samantha has not revealed anything about her education and qualifications with the media but it is believed that she completed her high school education in her hometown Ontario itself. She is not known to hold any degree but she has taken up several coaching in Ju-jutsu as well as Wushu martial arts. She has trained at the Sunny Tang Martial Arts Center in Toronto. To pursue acting, she trained under great teachers in LA and also performed at LA theatres.
Samantha Win Career
Samantha started her career initially as a Martial artist at a very young age. She started participating in tournaments at the age of 17 and became a member of the Canadian National Wushu Team. She was also a member of the New-market Based Team Ryouko Martial Arts Performance team. Samantha started representing Canada in the International Wushu tournaments in 2005 including the Wushu world championships in 2007 where she won a Bronze medal. She also competed in Wushu Tournament Beijing in 2008 during the Summer Olympics. Samantha started modeling for several print ads for Sear company and also appeared in various commercials.
She later moved to Los Angeles and started her career as a stunts woman for various Hollywood films due to her exceptional skill and training. She continued her acting training and performed the role of “Catherine” in “A View from The Bridge” produced by Thursday Theatre company. In 2012, she debuted on the digital platforms in the role of Kitana in the web series “Mortal Kombat: Legacy”. Following year, she appeared in the role of Car-Vex in “Man of Steel”. She made her career as an action actress and started appearing in films back to back. In 2012, she appeared in various video games like Resident Evil 6, Ninja Garden 3, and in 2017, she appeared in Call of duty: advanced warfare.

Since 2015, she has also been appearing in television shows. She first appeared in season 1 of “Agent x” as Juju Yang in 2015 and since then has appeared in “Warrior” 2015, “Lethal weapon” 2019, “Arrow season 7” in 2019 as Beatrice. She appeared in films like ‘Wonder Woman” in 2017, “Snow steam Iron” 2017, “Justice League” in 2017, and “circle of stone” in 2018 as Padilla. In 2021, she appeared in a horror-thriller short film “Unwelcome” which is available to watch on Shaby videos Youtube channel. Recently it was announced that she was cast in the lead role of Chambers in the upcoming Zombie Heist action film “Army of dead” directed by Zack Snyder in Production with Netflix to be released on the platform in May 2021.

Roudbari is a stunt performer and director. He has a Youtube channel named Shaby videos where he uploads his directed and credited work. the couple has recently worked together on a short film named “Unwelcome” uploaded on his channel. They have not revealed how they met and when they started dating. Samantha is currently settled in Los Angeles.
