He appeared in the German Championships in the Super-Heavyweight division in 2012 and achieved second place. Later in 2017, he won the amateur tournament of the Arnold Classic in Ohio where he qualified for his pro card. Originally, Poloczek was a keen football player but later fell in love with bodybuilding when he was still in his teenage period and eventually joined the Powerhouse Gym franchise in Oehringen before becoming its owner in the same year.
He came into the spotlight after he received his first honor at the age of 17 and became the recipient of the first junior championship in bodybuilding.
