Paden Bray is a college rodeo player and a professional Rodeo cowboy who is known for roping and heeling. He was entitled the rookie Heeler of the year in 2019 and is currently in Tarleton University’s Rodeo team where he competes as a tie-down roping player and heeler.
Early Life
Paden was born on November 27th, 1998 in Stephenville, Texas. He grew up in the city playing rodeo at a very early age. His mother’s name is Billie and his father’s name is Ken and also has a sibling brother named Wyatt who is also a competitive rodeo player. He is very close to his cousin Rance bray who is also a Rodeo player and finalist of Wrangler NFR in 2002 and a younger cousin sister named Presli who is a medical student. His parents are known to own a business Equibrand where his father is the president while his mother is a director.
Paden has not revealed much about his early education but it is believed that he completed his high school education at Lipan High school in Stephenville in Texas in 2017. He further wanted to pursue Rodeo sport and thus went to join Tarleton University. Paden joined the team as a roping player and Heeler in the college Rodeo team. He is currently pursuing a business major at the university and is in his senior year.
Paden Bray Career
Paden started playing the equestrian sport Rodeo since he was eight years old. He was the reserve champion team roping heeler at the National Junior high rodeo while he was in junior high. Paden then competed in The American while he was in high school in 2017 and also qualified for the National high school final Rodeo the same year. He gained a lot of experience and interest in the sport and decided to pursue it as a career. Paden joined his college Rodeo team as a tie-down Roper and heeler. He became part of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys association in 2019. Paden became the rookie rodeo cowboy of the year in 2019 in Heeling and in the same season, he got short by $4000 earnings to win the Wrangler Nationals Final Rodeo qualifier.
He ended his rookie season with the 17th position at PRCA in which he heeled behind the 2017 world champion, Header Erich Rodgers. He started in the 2020 PRCA Pro Rodeo season from rank 11th. In December 2020, he also won his first-ever NFR finals with Erich Rodger. This season, he has won in rodeo titles like San Antonio stock show rodeo till semi-finals, World’s Oldest Rodeo at 3rd position, Cody Stampede, and Guymon Pioneer Days rodeo. He recently competed at The American Rodeo at the AT&T stadium along with Erich Rodgers and won the title for team Roping and Rodgers among other winners.
