Myles Frost Biography

Myles Frost is a fantastic and enthusiastic actor known for his wonderful and outstanding performances. He is also one of the youngest black actors ever nominated for a Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical (2022). He nailed every moment in the role of the legendary Micheal Jackson for which he also bagged the prestigious Tony Awards as well.

Early Life

Myles Frost was born on July 21, 1999, in Maryland and Washington, D.C., and has spent his life moving between the two cities. He was raised by his mother, Charmayne Strayhorn, a systems engineer, and grandmother, a school teacher, and he developed two enduring passions early in life: golf at the age of three and piano at five. Myles completed his high school education at Belmont University in Nashville, where he studied music technology for two years. Later, as an audio engineering major, he transferred from Belmont to Bowie State University.

Myles Frost Career

Myles sang and played the piano and drums in church as a child, and in middle school, he played in an R&B cover band at local shopping malls. He appeared in school plays of Hairspray (as Seaweed), Legally Blonde (as Warner), and Cinderella while attending Thomas Sprigg Wootton High School in Rockville, Maryland (as Lord Pinkleton). He was a competitor on The Voice in 2017, while still in high school. When he was cast as Michael Jackson in the Broadway production of MJ the Musical, he dropped out. Frost was cast in the part after Ephraim Sykes left the programme at a critical juncture in its development, and the producers needed to find a replacement quickly. The production crew auditioned a number of well-known actors, but none of them were available, so they expanded their search.

Frost was called to audition after a YouTube video of him singing “Billie Jean” from a high school talent contest caught the producers’ interest. He eventually won the position. Myles is a multi-talented, self-taught pianist, actor, singer, composer, dancer, music producer, audio engineer, and even an ardent golfer (when time allows), but that’s just the beginning for this rising star.

Rise to Fame

ALL IN, where he researched and performed his debut role as Shane, an autistic 14-year-old youngster, and Netflix’s smash show Family Reunion (Season 1 and 2), where he added original music, are among his acting and music credits. Myles starred as Clarence in the biographical film “Big 50” The DelRhonda Hood Story, which premiered on BET Networks and is accessible on all BET Plus streaming platforms in the autumn of 2021. Myles is a dedicated artist with extensive professional experience, all of which has culminated in his preparation and expertise for his most desired role to date: playing Michael Jackson in Broadway’s MJ The Musical.
