Meredith Vieira is an American Journalist, host, and television personality. She has worked with CBS, Today and has hosted Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Meredith Vieira was born on 30th December 1953 in Providence, Rhode Island, United States of America. The names of his parents are Edwin Vieira and Mary Elsie Rosa Silveira Vieira. She also has a sibling whose names are Jeff, Edwin, and Steve. Vieira went to Lincoln School where she completed her high school studies. She graduated in 1971 from school. After completing her studies, she decided to pursue a career in the field of Journalism. From 1986 to 1993 she worked with CBS News and appeared in West 57th, 60 Minutes correspondent and CBS Morning News Co-Anchor. She left CBS and began working with ABC News Channel. In 1994 she was the correspondent of Turning Point an ABC News program. From 1997 to 2006 and 2016 she was a moderator on The View and guest moderator for one episode of the 20th season. On 16th September 2002, she was the host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. It is a television game show adapted from the same-titled British Program created by David Briggs, Steven Knight, and Mike Whitehill.
The show features a quiz competition with contestants who are attempting to win prize money of $1,000,000 by answering the multiple-choice question. In 2006 she was working with NBC News. She worked as Dateline NBC Contributing Anchor, Today Co-Anchor, NBC News Special Correspondent, Rock Center with Brian Williams as a correspondent, The Meredith Vieira Show host & executive producer, and Guest co-anchor of the fourth hour of Today. Also, she is still working with NBC News. In fall 2019 she was seen hosting a syndicated game show named 25Words or Less. On Fox Television Station she used to host. The show pairs contestant with celebrities in an effort to guess a list of five works using less than 25 words in total.
