She was born on 8th September 1984 in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, US. Her father, Sib Hashian was an excellent drummer for a popular music band, Boston. Whereas her mother, Suzanne Hashian is a former Dallas Playboy Club Bunny. She has a sister, Aja Hashian, who is also a singer as well as a songwriter. Lauren considers her sister to be a partner in writing songs and also has collaborated with her multiple times.
She has a brother too, Adam Hashian who is a writer and a jazz pianist, Lauren learns piano from him. Lauren went to Lynnfield High School and later joined Emerson College in Boston to study B.A in Public Relations and Communications. Apart from music she enjoys traveling to different places. Her best childhood memories remain of going on trips with family to places like Cape Cod and playing mini-golf.

Although being genetically blessed with music skills she was insisted by her father to not choose it as a Profession due to a few of his awful experiences. She started singing from her childhood in an 80s karaoke machine which she stole from her elder sister, Aja’s room, she used to sing songs from her favorite R&B albums. She started taking her music seriously after she won Emmy’s award during her graduation at Emerson. Lauren used to practice her singing by turning the dorm rooms into studios. She is presently married to Dwayne Johnson, the couple met each other in the year 2006 and started dating by 2007. Both of them moved in together and the duo conceived their first child in the form of a daughter, Jasmine in late 2015.
