In August 1995, Weekly began working as an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She taught a course called The Legal Environment of Business in this position. She had the chance to further her coaching studies there. Later, she relocated to Tennessee and started working at Grant, Konvalinka & Harrison in Chattanooga.
