Demi Elder was born on November 29, 2002, in League City, Texas. Demi Elder began her journey with athletics when she was young. Since her father, Daniel, was a baseball player at Stephen F. Austin and her sister, Danielle, was a softball star at Texas State, Elder was always motivated and encouraged by their example.
She went to Clear Springs High School, where she stood out as a talented athlete. Career
In 2022, Demi Elder started college at Texas Tech and played in 29 games as a freshman. She was mainly called upon as a pinch runner and to defend, making the team more versatile. During her sophomore year (2023), Elder took on more important duties. Over 43 games, she got 34 chances to bat and finished with a .271 batting average. The 2024 season was when Elder truly broke out. She started in all but one game during the season and broke her own personal records in batting average, runs scored, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBIs, and slugging percentage. Weeks after that, Demi Elder ended the game against Kansas with a walk-off hit, proving once again that she is the player to go to when it counts. In the outfield, Elder was just as impressive as usual. Her great athletic skills and good sense on the field helped her achieve a .981 fielding percentage.
