Darrion Trammell is an American basketball player. Currently, he is playing for the team San Diego State Aztecs in the position of Guard. He is in his senior year and formerly he played two seasons with Seattle Redhawks.
Early Life
Darrion was born on October 20, 2000, in Marin City, California. His father is Damien Trammel and his mother is Diema Trammel. The couple got divorced a few years back. Darrion was raised in Marin City along with his three siblings Niya, Chanel, and Michael. He went to Saint Ignatius High School in San Francisco. Darrion started playing basketball in high school.
He was an outstanding player. After his amazing performance in his senior and junior years, he was honored as a first-team All-West Catholic Athletic League player. Darrion attended City College of San Francisco for the year 2019-20. In sophomore year Darrion transferred to Seattle University and joined the team Redhawks. Currently, he is majoring in African studies at the University of San Diego.
Darrion Trammell Career
Darrion began his basketball career right at his school. He was an integral part of his high school basketball team. Later he joined City College of San Francisco and started his college basketball journey. He played there for one season 2019-20. He soon became an important part of the team and helped the team score an average of over 100 points per game. In that season he was ranked second in the state and was named to the First Team All-CCCAA Coast Conference North team.
After one season at CCSF, Darrion transferred to Seattle University. He stayed there for his sophomore and junior year. He was named first-team All-District and first-team all-WAC for two consecutive seasons. In the 2020-21 season, he appeared in 23 games and was ranked 19th nationally. Finally, for his senior year, he landed at SDSU. Darrion is most recently seen in National Championship Game after his appearance in Final Four.
