Before landing her job at The Washington Post, Christine was the Hilton Kramer Fellow in Criticism at the New Criterion. Christine Emba, who is around 35 years old, was brought up in Virginia and received her Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in international and public affairs from Princeton University (between 2006 to 2010). Originally she belonged to evangelical Christianity and later had herself converted from her birth ethnicity to Catholicism while pursuing her education at Princeton.

She has also written an essay on the behalf of The Washington Post while taking an excerpt from her book and has described that “consent is not enough”. Through her book, she says that we all need more sexual ethics. She argues that the people have increased the meaning of casual sex to such a level that in the modern and liberated lifestyle of having sex, the society- particularly women and men also- has been left with unhappy minds and unsatisfaction.
