Charlie Cox is a prominent English actor who has played very challenging roles in various genres. Charlie was brought up in East Sussex and was raised by Patricia and Andrew Frederick Seaforth Cox who was a known publisher of his time. He owes one brother named Toby (born in 1974) and three-half siblings from the side of his father who had a second marriage with his biological mother. All the three half-siblings of Charlie are named Emma, Zoe, and Oliver.
Charlie was raised as catholic. He obtained his education from two independent boarding schools named Ashdown House School (in the village of Forest Row) and Sherborne School (in the Market Town). While growing up, Charlie didn’t consider being a part of the acting field. He considered it to pursue only during the last few years of school. After he graduated from Sherborne in 2001, Charlie moved to London and got himself trained in Bristol from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

Charlie began his professional role at the age of eighteen when he was cast in the psychological thriller called “Dot the i ” which was released in 2003. Following his filming career, he got himself enrolled at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Following his first year of study, he played another role as Lorenzo in the 2004 Al Pacino vehicle “The Merchant of Venice”. With his role for the film, he broke the school policy to not be cast for any outside role auditioned for any outside production. Eventually, he decided not to return to the school and continued working with his films. Later, he appeared as the guest spot on TV with the supporting role in the movies like Casanova (2005 historical drama series), A for Andromeda (2006 BBC Sci-fi film), etc.
In 2013, Charlie starred in an independent film called “Hello Carter” and “Legacy” which was one of the cold thriller films of BBC. He also played lead roles in two of his unproduced CBS TV Pilots named “The Ordained” and an untitled Wall Street Show that was produced by John Cusak in February 2014. Charlie also played one of the significant roles as Matt Murdock in Marvel’s “Daredevil” TV series and “The Defenders”. Both of the series were produced and released through Netflix. He was praised for his performance and was given the Helen Keller Achievement Award by the American Foundation for the Blind.
