Bethaney Keen is a redshirt junior softball player from Braden River High School. She participated in the 2016 7A State Final Four and was a nominee for Player of the Year for the 2015–2016 season. She led the club with seven multiple RBI games during her first season and was chosen for the All-American Athletic Conference All-first Club.

Bethaney Keen was born on 13th April 1998 and she is a native of Bradenton, Florida. Her father’s name is James Keen and there is no information available about her mother and siblings. She attended Braden River High School and was an all-area player for four years.
Bethaney was named to the FACA senior all-star game, the first-team all-state, and the all-around player of the year for Braden River Softball in 2015-2016. She faced a pivotal moment in her softball journey when she was just 12 years old.

Bethaney Keen Career
USF
In 2017, she led the team with 14 extra-base hits in the first game of her career, a two-run walk-off home run against Illinois State on the opening day. With 412 putouts, she ranked eighth all-time at USF for a single season and was the team’s leader. She wasn’t able to play during her sophomore year due to an injury in the 2018 season.
After that, she was one of only three players to start every game in her redshirt sophomore season in 2019. She finished second on the team with a batting average of.283 while starting in all 60 of the club’s contests. Bethaney batted in 37 runs, ranking second on the squad, and drew the most walks of anyone on the team, with 22.
She had nine games with multiple hits, nine games with multiple RBIs, and her longest streak of baserunners. She played first base for all 49 of the games in 2021 and had a batting average of.299 throughout that time. BK had nine games with multiple hits and five games with multiple RBIs. In 2022, she appeared in 13 games with 10 starts during her senior year before being injured and receiving a medical redshirt. Bethaney played in 13 games, hitting.278 (5-for-18) with one double, six RBI, and three runs scored. Against Mercer, she went 1-for-1 with an RBI.
She had three RBI on two hits and two walks against Kennesaw State and two against No. 2 UCLA. She scored twice off of two singles against Virginia in the doubleheader, and she smashed an RBI single down the left field line in the run-rule victory over Notre Dame in 2023.
In a doubleheader against Virginia on April 15th, Bethaney scored twice, showcasing her proficiency by crossing home plate after hitting two singles. Adding to her achievements, she successfully stole her first-ever base as a Seminole in a game against Jacksonville on April 12th.
An impressive performance against Syracuse on March 18th saw Bethaney achieve a career-best of two doubles on two at-bats, highlighting her exceptional batting abilities. On February 18th, she displayed her defensive prowess by recording a season-best eight putouts in a game against UCLA, demonstrating her reliable fielding skills. Bethaney made an impact early in the season on February 11th, securing her first RBI of the season with a sacrifice flyout in a game against Longwood.
