Bennett Lee Biography

Bennett Lee plays for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons baseball team representing Wake Forest University in NCAA Division I College baseball. Recently due to his heroic performance in the playoffs of the College World Series against LSU, the Deacons successfully defended the game. He delivered an amazing show in both aspects of the game, first in defense and later in the offense as well.

Bennett Lee, born on April 26, 2002, hails from Florida and comes from a remarkable lineage of sports enthusiasts. Following in the footsteps of his father, Ben Lee, who had a notable baseball career playing for UNC Chapel Hill, and his older brother, Everett, who excelled in baseball at Wesleyan University, Bennett was inspired to embrace the sport during his schooling years.

Beginning his educational journey at St. Mary Episcopal Day School in Tampa, Bennett later enrolled at Jesuit High School, also in Tampa. Throughout his time in high school, Lee proved himself to be an exceptional athlete, particularly in the realm of baseball.

He showcased his talent and dedication, earning the distinction of a letter winner for four consecutive years, a remarkable accomplishment. With his natural abilities and relentless pursuit of excellence, Bennett Lee has become a standout player in his high school baseball team, leaving an indelible mark on the sport.

Bennett Lee Career

Bennett started playing baseball when he was very young and played on his high-school baseball team. Lee helped the team win the state championship in 2019 and ended up as runner-up at the state-level match. He led the to the semi-finals at the regional level in 2018. In 2020, the team ranked no. 1 in the nation.

He was named All-County and All-District in 2018 and   All-County, All-District, and All-State team in 2019. After High-school Bennett got accepted at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. Bennett soon became an integral part of the team. In his freshman year, he was named American Athletic Conference Newcomer Position Player of the Year and Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American among other titles.

He was given the title of Louisiana Sports Writer Association (LSWA) College Baseball Team. Bennett finished his freshman year with a batting average of .440 and a sluggish percentage (.600). He opened the season with a win against Louisiana-Lafayette. He scored his season-high four runs against ECU.

In 2022, he started the season in all 69 games. He improved his game from the previous year and closed the year with five home runs and 92 RBI. His first home run of the year was against Mississippi State. He scored a pair of doubles in Tulane’s win in the Houston conference.

Later he transferred to Wake Forest University and joined the Demon Deacons. He has been a huge part of the success of Wake Forest. He most recently came under highlight when he delivered the hit that helped The Wake Forest enter the College World Series Final.
