Ayesha Disa Curry, née Ayesha Disa Alexander, is a well-known Canadian-American actress, cookbook author, and cooking television star. She started her acting career in 2008 but later in 2014 she began her culinary career and started hosting her own television cooking show, Ayesha’s Home Kitchen.
Early Life
Ayesha Curry was born on March 23, 1989, in Markham, Ontario, Canada to father John Alexander and mother Carol Alexander. Reportedly, it is known that her father was a musician and her mother would run a salon in the basement of their home. She has four siblings namely Jaz Alexander (brother), Chad Alexander (brother), Janiece Alexander (sister), and Maria Alexander (sister). At the age of 14, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina with her family. She attended Weddington High School and in 2013 she majored in Business Management at Davidson College, a private liberal arts college situated in Davidson, North Carolina. At a young age, Curry was highly inspired by kitchen activities.
Ayesha Curry Career
In order to pursue a career in the film industry, Curry shifted to Los Angeles after earning a degree from Weddington High School. She was cast in the television movie “Dan’s Detour of Life” by Cassie Stevens in 2008. Later in the same year, she did two series namely, “10 Items or Less”, a comedy series where she appeared in the episode: “Forever Young” as a Girl in a Bathroom and in the 8 episodes of the series “Whittaker Bay” as Keeley Hawkins. She also did a film titled “Love for Sale”, a romantic comedy film, where she portrayed a role of a girl in hotub (Girl #1).
In 2009, she characterized the role of Andrea in the episode: “Come Fail Away” in a famous American teen sitcom “Hannah Montana”. In 2010, she appeared as a beautiful girl in the episode: “Kwikki Chick” of the sitcom “Good Luck Charlie”. After getting married in 2011, Curry started her own food blog, and later YouTube channel. Consequently, this led to a short Food Network show titled “Ayesha’s Homemade”. Later in 2016, she began her show again which ran for six episodes in the first season. She became a Judge for the show “Guy’s Grocery Games” and in the episode “The Big Stink” of the show “Chopped Junior”.
On April 30, 2017, she came up with another season of six seasons, titled “Ayesha’s Home Kitchen” which premiered on the Food Network channel. She then became the host of an American cooking competition television series “The Great American Baking Show” on September 21, 2017. In 2019, a cooking reality competition series “Family Food Fight” (FFF), where Curry appeared as a judge, host, and executive producer as well. She recently launched a company named Sweet July.

Ayesha tied the knot with NBA player, Stephan Curry on July 30, 2011. It is indicated that the couple started dating at the age of 15 and 14 respectively when the duo met in a church youth group in Charlotte. The pair have three children namely Riley Elizabeth Curry (daughter), Ryan Carson Curry (son), and Canon W. Jack Curry (son). The two have set a couple of goals for so long and now they have a happy family.
