Yesli Vega is a politician of the republic party and a law enforcement officer as well as a former police officer. She is one of the candidates for the general election taking place on November 8, 2022. She is also running elections to represent Virginia’s seventh Congressional District.

Early Life

Yesli Vega was born in 1992 and grew up in Houston, Texas, United States. Later, she and her family moved to Virginia. Any information about her family is not accessible. Yesli has always been in an environment where she learned hard work, belief in God, and other moral lessons. She is the first one in her immediate family to graduate from college. Yesli went to American Military University to get a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She is also a graduate of the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.

Yesli started her journey in law enforcement as a street cop with the City of Alexandria’s Police Department. After taking a break for some time due to her husband’s deployment as a member of the United States Army, she again went into law enforcement with the Manassas Park Police Department. She served as the certified hostage negotiator and also joined the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office to serve as a deputy and Crisis Intervention Team member under legendary Sheriff Glen Hill.

In the year 2018, she ran for an open seat on the Prince William County Board of Supervisors. Yesli won the election with more than 80% of the votes as she committed to advocating and fighting for conservative principles. She also won the general election in her Democrat-leaning district. Yesli has defeated gun control resolutions and fought domain abuse which threatened to wipe out the homes of low-income residents. She was also part of police power in Alexandria, Virginia, and Manassas Park.
