Victor Solomon is one of the vocalists on ‘The Voice’ an American show where they compete to get a recording deal and $100,000 after becoming the winner. The final countdown has begun and just two more episodes remain where Victor will battle to win the title in The Voice Grand Finale. Early life
Victor was born on 25th September 1998 in Peoria, Illinois, and lives in Greensboro, North Carolina. Victor recalls his childhood saying that they face many difficulties. He and his three siblings were raised by a single mom and sometimes the situations were so tough that they lived without electricity and water but whatever they faced they faced together as a whole and the family was always tight-knit. Victor started singing when he was 6 years old at a church and won his first-ever singing competition in eighth grade by singing ‘Ordinary People’ by John Legend.
From there he continued singing and went to North Carolina A&T State University, a university for blacks and the country’s largest university. Victor is now a senior at his college and was voted as Mr. A&T of the college. Though he stays busy with his duties he still manages time and sings at church and his school gospel choir.
Victor Solomon Career
He successfully passed the blind audition and knockout round and he is a part of now Team Legend. Victor was the first singer to get a standing ovation from the judges from all four judges. John legend loved his performance of “I Wish” and called him a superstar. Wearing a pink suit with the dark hat he sang and danced to “I Wish” by Steve Wonders. Firstly Solomon during his performance became a victim of the technical mix but he never loses his grip and the backstage knob-tuners got their groove back quickly making it a successful hit that night.
More than two months have passed and Solomon has succeeded in many knockouts and various live shows. John legend praises him by saying that Victor is his classic soul king. Victor is talented not only in singing but he was also Captain of his football team back in Peoria and won in 2016 state championship. While in an interview Solomon said that singing aloud in front of America is bigger as it’s a bigger platform.
