Apart from her association with FOX News, she was also a reporter for Bloomberg News. She died on 8th August 2022 after the news was announced by the original Fox News Cable Network.
Uma Pemmaraju was born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India, on 31st March 1958. Later her family moved to Texas, United States, where she was brought up in San Antonio. She received her graduation from Trinity University in Texas. She was a student for a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Uma also went to study at American University to pursue a degree in international relations for one year as part of an exchange program with Trinity University.

She worked for KTVT-11 in Dallas in the position of news anchor and correspondent and then moved to WMAR-TV in Baltimore where she won an Emmy award for her reporting on the live news of a child.
