Tonya Mosley is a co-host of Fresh Air. Mosley announced her departure from NPR and WBUR, where she co-hosted the midday radio show Here & Now along with Robin Young and Scott Tong. Early Life

Tonya was born in the 1990s and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She earned a journalism degree from the University of Missouri. In several locations, including Columbia, Missouri, Lansing, Michigan, Flint, Fort Wayne, Kentucky, and Seattle, Washington, she began her career as a television reporter and producer.

She also served as an Al Jazeera America journalist. Mosley moved to San Francisco, where she became a host and the Silicon Valley bureau chief for KQED, the public radio station in the Bay Area.

At Stanford University, where she co-created a course for journalists on the implications of implicit bias in reporting and co-wrote a Belgian/American experimental research on the consequences of protest coverage, Mosley was given a John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship in 2015.
