Kyriacou was born on 22 November 2000 in Sydney, NSW, Australia. Her father is Nick Kyriacou and her mother is Angele Hakim Kyriacou. Steph grew up with her older sister Eleena who is pursuing studies in architecture.
She started playing golf at age four and her father introduced her to the game, who regularly caddies for her now. She participated in the Jack Newton Junior Golf Programme and debuted in the Jack Newton golf tournament, the State Junior Medals, at 10 in 2011.

Stephanie started playing golf at a very young age and showed great promise as a junior golfer. She won several tournaments and represented Australia in various international events, such as the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, where she finished fourth.
