Sonya Curry is an American educator. She is the mother of two adults who have been successful basketball players playing in national games. Both of her adult children were named Stephen Curry and Seth Curry.
Early Life
Sonya Curry was born in Radford, Virginia to Cleive and Candy Adams. There was a time when Sonya Adams was living in extreme poverty with her parents and frequently had to suffer racist experiences with Ku Klux Klan. Even when she was studying in high school, she actively participated in sports like volleyball, basketball, and track and field. She enrolled herself at Virginia Tech as a student-athlete where she played volleyball while earning all-conference honors in the Metropolitan Collegiate Athletic Conference as a junior.

She has also received a degree in Education. According to her family and friends, she was the reason to make a successful path for her volleyball team and became extremely popular. Adams met her future husband at Virginia Tech. while visiting officially to the school, she casually used to watch the men’s basketball practice where Adams and Curry (or Dell Curry) met each other and became friendly to each other, and later married together. Currently, Sonya is the president of the school named the Christian Montessori School of Lake Norman in North California. She founded the school in 1995. Her children used to attend school during their childhood age.
