Sofia Milos is a Greek-American and Swiss actress and Model famously known for her roles in movies and TV shows like The Border, CSI: Miami, and Café American. She is a well-known and reputed actress known for her excellent acting and great personality.
Early Life
Sofia was born on 27th September 1969 in Zurich, Switzerland. She is of mixed ethnicity as her father was of Italian descent while her mother was Greek. She grew up in Switzerland in her early years until her family moved to Rome, Italy. While in Switzerland, she developed a taste for good chocolates and fine watches and often heard about France from her nanny. She is known to have a sibling brother named Pino Milos. Her family is settled in Rome and she currently lives in the USA.
Sofia has not shared much about her early education but it is known that she studied business and economics in a local school in Switzerland. She learned the French language from her nanny while at school. She also attended other schools in Italy and Greece over the years. As she wanted to become an actress she went on to train and study acting under her mentor Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

She started her career at a very early age when she started taking part in beauty pageants in her early teen years. At the age of 14, she entered into her first pageant and won first place. She later went on to participate in other local and national level pageants and won various titles. She also became the Junior lady of Italy. By the age of 15, she started modeling and made it her profession and modeled for 10 years with various magazines, brands, etc. she also worked as a women’s clothing Freelancer.
She first started appearing in films in the early 1990s when she appeared in the movie WKRP in Cincinnati as a novice nun. In the year 1992, she appeared in the movie Over the line, and in the movie Mafia in 1998 where she portrayed the role of Young Sophia. Meanwhile, she also started appearing in television shows and her debut on the small screen was marked by the show named Café American in which she appeared in the main role of Fabiana Borelli. She also appeared in an episode of the famous tv show Friends the following year.
Breakthrough & Fame
She kept appearing in small and brief roles in various tv shows like Platypus man, vanishing sun, weird sun, and strange luck in 1995. In the year 1997, she got a recurring role of Julia Karinsky in the show, Caroline, in the sky and appeared for 20 episodes. The following year, she appeared in the main role of Maria in The secret lives of men and received huge praise. In the year 2000, she also appeared in an episode of the show The Sopranos. The same year, she was cast in the movie The Ladies Man as Cheryl and in the role of Carmela Kralies in the 2001 movie Double Bang.
Major breakthrough of her career came when she was cast in the show CSI: Miami in the recurring role of detective Yelena Salas in 2003. She appeared in the character till season 3 of the show in 2009. She later appeared in the show The Border as detective Bianca in the year 2008. Over the years, she appeared in several other movies, tv shows, and tv films like Criminal minds, The First Family, Tatort, Desire, Chicago justice, Family Jewels, the secret of Joy, and Fake News to name a few. In the more recent years, she appeared as Carla in the 2019 film Odissea nell’ospizio and as Daria in the TV show Project Blue Book in 2020.
