Sierra Deaton is an American singer and social media influencer. She caught everyone’s eyes when she won on the stage The X factor US’ final season in the year 2013 with Alex. Sierra Deaton was born on February 11, 1991, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sierra comes from a multi-ethnic family; her father, Dr. John Deaton, is British whereas her mother, Vu Deaton, is Vietnamese. She also has an older sister named Lara, and the two grew up in Orlando, Florida, with their family. Deaton started writing music with the nickname of Essy. Sierra Deaton and her ex-boyfriend, musician Alex Kinsey, began performing together after Alex discovered her talent while they were dating. They auditioned for The X Factor US in New Orleans, performing a sultry cover of Britney Spears’ Toxic. They wowed the judges with their performance and made it to the top 40. On the show, they were mentored by music critic Simon Cowell. They gave their first live performance on the show after reaching the top 12 with a stripped-down version of Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines. In December 2013, Alex and Sierra have crowned X Factor US winners, becoming the only duo from the American version of the show and the fourth in the franchise to do so.
Their victory was quickly followed by the success of their albums. In May 2014, Alex and Sierra released their debut single Scarecrow, which sold 30,000 copies in its first week. Sierra and Alex announced the title and cover of their debut album It’s About Us in July 2014, and four days later, they released their promotional single Little Do You Know. After breaking up in September 2017 and deciding to part ways, the duo stopped making music together.

Luke Hemmings and Sierra Deaton began dating in 2018, and the couple continues to share their romantic moments, travel diaries, and admiration for each other.
