In 2015, she played young Agatha Raisin in the pilot episode of Agatha Raisin (Sky 1) and guest-starred as Sputnik in CBBC’s The Sparticle Mystery. Her film debut came in 2016 with the sci-fi thriller Morgan, where she portrayed the 10-year-old version of the titular bioengineered character.
McNulty achieved an international breakthrough in 2017 when cast as the lead, Anne Shirley-Cuthbert, in the CBC/Netflix series Anne with an E (2017–2019), an adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. Amybeth McNulty earned critical acclaim and awards, including a Canadian Screen Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series.
Following the series’ cancellation after three seasons, she appeared in the 2021 film Black Medicine as a troubled Irish teenager and in All My Puny Sorrows (2021).
