Shaun White Biography

Shaun White is an American professional Snowboarder, Skateboarder, Actor, and Musician. From 2003 to 2013 he was won gold medals in the Winter X-Games. In the 2006, 2010, and 2018 Olympic Games, halfpipe competition he received a gold medal. Recently in the 2022 Winter Olympics, he announced his retirement and the last Olympics that he will be seen competing.

Shaun White was born on 3rd September 1986 in San Diego, California, United States. The names of his parents are Cathy White and Roger White. He also has siblings whose names are Kari and Jesse. Shaun has completed his high school education at Torrey Pines High School. For his higher studies, he went to California State University San Marcos. He also went to Carlsbad Seaside Academy.

At a very young age, he was learning Snowboarding ad Skateboarding. Along with learning he also participated in various competitions. From 2006 to 2018 he participated in various Winter Olympics. He was also seen in winter X games, FIS World’s Cup, and other competitions. Shaun has signed with CAA Sports for representation after working with IMG for eight years. He has been endorsed by various brands like American Express, Red Bull, Adio, Ubisoft, Park City Mountain Resort, and more. Along with his sports career, he is also seen in various films, TV series, and music videos.

Some of his appearances in films and series were in Friend with Benefit, Da Flippity Flop, Cloud 9, The Girls Next Door, American Dad, and more. He plays guitar for a rock band named Bad Things. They have performed at the 2013 Lollapalooza festival. Their debut album was released in January 2014. He has also launched various video games and is part owner of Mammoth Mountain, Snow Summit, June Mountain, and Bear Mountain ski areas. In January 2022 he launched his own lifestyle brand named Whitespace which deals in outerwear, snowboard hard goods, athletics equipment, and others.

Shaun was in a relationship with Sarah Barthel from the band Phantogram. They started dating in 2013 and parted their way in 2019 but the details about their relationship have not been disclosed to the media. Later in 2019, he started dating Nina Dobrev who is well known for her role in Vampires Diaries. They met in an event in Florida and soon were spotted in public.

Controversy

On 17th September 2012, he was arrested near a hotel in Nashville as he was intoxicated and was vandalizing. He attended the wedding party of Patrick Carney and drank too much over there. In 2016 he was accused of sexual harassment and breach of contract by Lena Zawaideh, a drummer. Next year in May they reached an Out of court settlement and the terms were not disclosed to the media. Later in 2018, he was interviewed post-game and he referred to the above incident as gossip due to which he received criticism. He later apologized for his choice of words.
