Savannah Pola Career
Savannah was a four-year softball letter winner at Godinez Fundamental High School. Extra Innings Softball ranked her as the No. 6 recruit in the country. She became a member of Godinez Fundamental Softball. The Godinez Fundamental varsity softball team defeated Sonora (La Habra, CA) 7-1 in a neutral tournament game on Saturday. She was defeated 4-1 by Marina (Huntington Beach, CA) in a neutral tournament game on Saturday. The Godinez Fundamental varsity softball team defeated Ocean View (Huntington Beach, CA) 12-3 in a non-conference game at home on Wednesday. Once upon a time, Pola said. “I’m very grateful to be here, and it’s like a dream,” she says.
In just 13 games, she had a 707 batting average, 29 hits, and 30 RBIs, including five home runs, five triples, and six doubles. She stated, “I’m either going to help in the infield or outfield.” “I’ll go wherever they need me, and it doesn’t matter to me.” If I’m in the lineup, I’ll do whatever is required. “All I want to do is assist in any way I can.” Despite being UCLA’s highest-ranked freshman, earning playing time with a squad that retains the majority of its roster from last season will be challenging in 2022. But that’s beyond Pola’s control, so she’s concentrating on getting better and building relationships with her new colleagues for the time being.
Rise to Fame
Thessa Malau’ulu, a sophomore infielder, grew up barely 20 km from Pola’s home. After getting to know one other for a while, the two are reuniting, this time as “big sisters.” In her junior year, she was batting .560 with three home runs and 13 RBIs until her season was cut short. Extra Inning Softball awarded her the California Sophomore of the Year. As a sophomore in 2019, she helped her team win the CIF-Southern Section Division 4 championship. In her sophomore year, she led Orange County in hits with 577 hits, four home runs, and 30 RBIs. During her freshman, sophomore, and senior seasons, she was named to the All-CIF team.
