Rylie Boone is an outfielder for the Oklahoma Sooners who set the new benchmarks in both offense as well as defense. She remained a star player for the Sooners ever since her arrival in the team and emerged as the pillar for the solid start while batting. 

Rylie won All-Metro and All-District honors each of her four seasons, including three times being voted District Player of the Year. Boone, who was chosen for Academic All-District, was a basketball star who helped Owasso win the 2018 6A State Championship while also guiding her team to back-to-back district and regional titles in 2017.

Rylie was born on 17th June 2002 in Owasso, Oklahoma and she is the daughter of Gayla Carnagey. Trevor is her only sibling and he played baseball for Oklahoma State and selected Oklahoma over Kansas, Tulsa, and Oklahoma State.

She participated in two summers of Texas Glory play in McKinney, Texas, with Kevin Shelton’s team. She ended the 2018 summer with a.449 batting average, 65 hits, 44 runs, 32 RBIs, 21 stolen bases, and a perfect fielding %. Rylie was named No. 28 in Extra Innings Softball’s Elite 100 in the class of 2019 and No. 59 in Flo Softball’s 2019 Hot 100.

Throughout her career, Rylie consistently delivered whenever required especially in crucial games. Rylie had an impressive start as a freshman, playing center field and hitting well in the first four games before getting injured. She had a .467 batting average, going 7-for-15, and made an impact against George Washington with a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored.

In her sophomore year, Rylie earned a spot on the First Team of the Academic All-Big 12. She played in 55 games, starting in both the outfield and infield. Rylie maintained a .412 batting average and a .483 on-base percentage. She also showed her versatility on the bases with six stolen bases in seven attempts. Defensively, she had a flawless fielding percentage with 21 putouts and two assists. In the WCWS, Rylie contributed with her bat and scored three runs in seven appearances.

In the WCWS Championship Series against Texas, she scored two runs in a perfect 2-for-2 performance. She also had notable games against UCLA and Northwestern in the WCWS opener. Rylie showcased her skills in other games too, including a flawless 3-for-3 performance against North Texas and a clutch 1-for-3 effort against Texas, where she drove in two runs. Her remarkable season included a diving grab in left field and impressive offensive contributions.
