Rylee Holtorf was born to parents Ronnie and Ryanne, and she has two sisters, Reese and Raegan, and a brother, Reid. Her father, Ronnie, played baseball at Grand Canyon University, while her mom, Ryanne, won a national title in softball at New Mexico State and Phoenix College. Her father had a passion for baseball that led him to play at Grand Canyon University. Alongside his older brother, he donned the university’s baseball jersey, showcasing their dedication to the sport.
Not only did Ronnie leave a mark on the baseball field, but he also inspired his younger brother to follow in his footsteps, leading to a family legacy in collegiate baseball. On the other hand, Ryanne, the mother, had her own remarkable journey in the world of softball. She displayed exceptional talent and skill, which earned her a spot on the softball team at New Mexico State during her freshman year.
However, her thirst for growth and new challenges led her to transfer to Phoenix College. It was during her time there that Ryanne’s team achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Junior College (JC) National Championship, a testament to their hard work and determination.

Rylee’s journey in softball began at the tender age of six when she would eagerly play in a neighborhood park, tirelessly hitting a whiffle ball. Those innocent afternoons spent honing her skills laid the foundation for her future success. She hit eight home runs in her final year of high school and was named the Gatorade Arizona Player of the Year. Rylee batted.551 with a 1.205 slugging percentage for O’Connor High School in 2019 and helped them win the state title.
She won the 12U and 14U Colorado Sparkler titles in club ball, where she hit.462 with 27 RBI and 22 steals. She was a member of the Arizona Storm club team. As a freshman, she played for Sandra Day O’Connor High in Phoenix, Arizona, past spring. With a batting average of 516, 42 RBIs, and 48 hits, she advanced her team to the quarterfinals and earned All-American status.
Rylee played both third base and shortstop during her freshman year in 2022 at Colorado State, making a total of 42 appearances and 35 starts at those positions. On March 12, 2022, she hit her first career home run at Colorado State, a three-run homer, which was her first career home run. She hit two doubles against No. 19 Arizona, scoring one run in the fifth and two in the sixth.
