Rudy Pankow is a professional American actor known for playing the role of JJ in the Netflix teen drama, Outer Banks. Apart from Outer Banks he also performed in The Politician, Deviant, and soon will be seen as a lead role in Space Waves.

Early Life

Rudy Pankow was born in Alaska, the United States on 12th August 1998. His father, Andrew Pankow is a physician and his mother, Penny Pederson is a homemaker. He has two brothers named, Alec and Henning Pankow. He went to Ketchikan High school and completed his high school education. Back in school he was sport enthusiastic and participated in soccer and track events. Pankow had made up his mind to enter into a culinary school but before that, he decided to give acting a shot and thus moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, his passion.

Rudy Pankow Career

Rudy moved to Los Angeles from Alaska to pursue his passion and become a professional actor. He enrolled himself in Michael Woolson Studies to ace his acting skills in the batch of 2016-2017. Initially, he appeared in Theatre. He has worked in notable plays like Nutcracker and Mary Poppins and was also given a lead character to play in Oliver Twist. He made his acting debut in 2017 with the short film, Sunny Family Cult and played the role of Aaron. Consistently he then was seen in numerous short films like Nobody Knows, 11:47, Not Me as Ashton, Dylan in Last Summer, and Deviant as Marcel all through the years 2017-2018. In 2018 he also featured in a music video for the song Thought Contagion.

Later he played a small part in The Politician in 2019 and appeared in two episodes of Solve: as Freddy. In 2020 his major career breakthrough was when he was offered to play the role of JJ in Netflix’s teen adventure series Outer Banks alongside Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline. The cast is also set to shoot the second season of the series but is delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The same year was seen as Brocklehurst in Acting for a Cause and the series Popternative. He played the role of Joey Kite in the movie Space Waves which was released in 2022. This movie marked Rudy’s first lead role in a film. Rudy made comeback to the trending people’s list after the third season of Outer Banks on Netflix.
