He starred in CBS’ new comedy series Ghosts, which premiered on October 7, 2021. The show is based on the hit BBC One series of the same name and follows a couple who inherit a haunted country home. Early Life

Roman Zaragoza was born in New York City to a multicultural family. He is of Akimel O’otham, Mexican, Japanese, and Taiwanese descent. His father is Gregory Zaragoza, an acclaimed actor who starred in the 1999 Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun. His mother is Shirley Zaragoza, a college business professor.

He has two sisters, Raye and Emma, who are both musicians. Zaragoza grew up in a melting pot of culture and was exposed to theatre, film, and television from a young age. He moved to California when he was nine and continued taking acting, dance, singing, and improv lessons.

Roman Zaragoza Career

Zaragoza began his professional career at age 15 with Native Voices at the Autry, the only Equity Native American Theatre Company. He met his mentor Randy Reinholz there, who helped him develop his skills and passion for storytelling. He also starred in Reinholz’s show Off the Rails at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

He is a producer on the upcoming short film ‘This Is Their Land’, which depicts the Modoc War of 1872-73 and the sacrifices made by the Modoc leader Captain Jack for his people. He also co-directed a music video for his sister Raye’s song Change Your Name, which was inspired by their mother’s life and the intersectionality of changing names during the immigration process.
