Nick Timiraos or Nicolas Martin Timiraos is a chief economics correspondent for The Wall Street Journal. Nick is based in Washington. Early Life
Nick Timiraos was born in 1978 in the US to his parents- Carol L. Timiraos and Vicente L. Timiraos of Alhambra, Calif. His mother is the assistant director of Stepping Stones to Learning, a tutoring center for students in San Marino, Calif, while his father is a senior vice president and the credit manager in the national banking division -Bank of the West in Los Angeles, US. Nick spent his childhood in the US only. Nick Timiraos did his earlier education from a local school in his hometown only and then got admission to high school (Loyola High School, US). Later on, Nick enrolled at Georgetown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and American Studies. While there, he served as an editor in chief at The Hoya.

Earlier he used to cover the Treasury Department, fiscal policy, and broader economic and labor market issues. And before that, he wrote about U.S. housing and mortgage markets as a reporter based in New York, US.
