Lara Spencer is a beautiful American television presenter who is a television host as well as a television producer. She is well known to the world after she started appearing as a co-anchor for ABC’s show Good Morning America. Lara Christine Von Seelen who is professionally known as Lara Spencer was born on June 19, 1969, in Garden City, Long Island, New York in the United States of America. Her parents are Richard Von Seelen and Carolyn Von Seelen. She has an elder brother named Keith and her ethnic background is French. Lara attended Garden City High school and graduated from it in 1987. She then attended Pennsylvania State University where got admitted through an athletic scholarship for springboard and platform diving. She graduated from her college with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Lara was the creator and executive producer of the prime-time game show called “It’s Worth What?” which was hosted by Cedric the Entertainer. The show aired during the summer of 2011 on NBC. She had also created and produced two shows based on her passions for interior designing which was a one-hour special, titled “I Brake for Yard Sales” which aired in April 2012 on HGTV. The second was a flea market-themed television series which is currently airing on Great American Country called “Flea Market Flip.” Lara wrote her first book which was titled “I Brake for Yard Sales” which was a guide on how to create high- end looking rooms using hand finds. The book was published and released in April 2012.
In September 2013, she hosted the 87th Miss America pageant at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, along with Chris Harrison. The pageant was broadcasted on ABC on September 15, 2013, and returned to co-host Miss America in 2015. Currently, there are no upcoming projects that Lara has mentioned or talked about but we can expect her to be seen on the television soon or can look forward to her to publish a new book with her new ideas or produce a television show.
Controversies
In 2019, Lara was involved in a controversy in which she commented about a six-year-old boy enjoying ballet classes which were one of his hobbies. This was considered offensive and caused a public backlash. She then issued an Instagram apology where she stated that she fully believed that everyone should be free to pursue their passions. She also apologized later when she was on air during an interview with three professional male dancers.

On September 30, 2000, Lara married a former CNN journalist named David Haffenreffer at St. Andre’s Dune Church in an Episcopal ceremony. Lara then announced that she was engaged to New York Tech entrepreneur Richard McVey. She mentioned that she met him through a blind date which was set by their mutual friend.
