LaDazhia Williams is an American basketball player who is currently playing as a forward for the LSU tigers. After a flourishing high school career, she was chosen to represent the University of Missouri.
Early life
LaDazhia was born on September 13, 1989, in Bradenton, Florida. Her mother Candace Parker was a WNBA player. She led the University of Tennessee twice to the NCAA championship. In her freshman year, LaDhazia was in South Carolina and played there for one season. Then she transferred to Missouri and played there for three years.
Finally, in her last two years, she moved to Lakewood Ranch school and played for the team as a forward. She was interested in sports from a very young age. Her mother has a huge influence on her. Williams finally got the platform in high school to play basketball.

LaDazhia started playing basketball in high school. In her freshman year, she played for the University of South Carolina. She then transferred to Missouri University for three seasons. There she averaged 12.4 points and 4.2 rebounds. She played several matches while in Missouri and was ranked third in the all-time history of the program.
She led the team to score in 9 games during the 2020-21 season. ESPN ranked LaDhazia as the 12th best forward at the national level and no.48 overall in the class of 2017. As a junior, she was named 7A player of the year in 2016. Williams is one of the few players who get first-team all-state selection three times by FABC. Along with that, she was also named Bradenton Herald All-Area Player of the year three times.
In 2017 she was named 8A player of the year by FABC( Florida Association of Basketball Coaches). For her final two years, she transferred to LSU to play under coach Tina Hadley. Her final season will decide her fate for NCAA Division I selection. LSU is the last stop of her college basketball career.
She summed up the season as Lakewood Ranch’s all-time best scorer and rebounder. Williams has played 32 of Tiger’s games. She averaged 9.1 points and 4.1 boards and even led the Tigers to the Class 7A state title. She has received a bunch of acceptance letters from various colleges already.
