Kerra Bennett began her professional life as a US Army specialist handling investigation reports and implementing counterintelligence surveys. For nearly seven years and eleven months, she worked for the US Army. She was assigned to manage the classification of equipment worth $900K, including installation, maintenance, and application troubleshooting of battlefield signal support systems.
Then, from March 2016 to May 2016, she interned at AARP as a Community Outreach Intern. She worked as an AARP volunteer in Tennessee. From July 2019 to October 2019, she had a contractual job with VETPAW – Veterans Empowered to Protect African Wildlife, based in Eastern Cape, South Africa. She was meant to handle the surveillance, data collection, and tracking of wildlife and other properties or animals like elephants, rhinoceros, and cheetahs.

From May 2020 to August 2020, she interned at Southeast Conservation Corps, based in Tennessee, United States. She used to have responsibilities related to overnight tasks like trail/camp maintenance, serious accident response callouts, public education, and traffic control.
Naked and Afraid: Castaways
Kerra Bennett was the zoo keeper for the next nine months (beginning in September 2020). During that time, she was responsible for handling the feedings given to animals upkeep of the tasks, and behavioral changes in animals. After that, she contracted with Discovery Channel/ Discovery Inc., where she started getting filmed as a cast member of “Naked and Afraid”, which was televised in various seasons and episodes.
Currently, Kerra Bennett is the co-owner and co-founder of Home & Flair (November 2022 to Present). She is based in Nashville, Tennessee, United States, providing interior designing services to people wishing to have better home interiors and designs. She is also a part-time Wildlife Biologist working for the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency for the last year and nine months.
