Kara Sewell is an American personality and a journalist by profession. Currently, she is working at WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas as an anchor on the show Daybreak which is televised every weekday morning. There at the show, she shares the screen with Ron Corning. Kara has received a lot of awards during her 17-year-long media career.

Kara Sewell was born on 23rd August 1983 and she originally belonged to Houston & she currently resides in Dallas. She is the oldest of all three children born to her parents. Kara received her education from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Communication and Media Studies [received in 2002]. Then in 2002, she admitted to The Stephen F. Austin State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies in 2005.

Kara began her professional life in February 2006 and worked as a reporter or anchor for ICA Broadcasting I LTD. (dba CBS7). At CBS7, she served the position of the weekend evening anchor. From Sep 2008 to Oct 2014, she worked as a reporter or anchor for KWCH-TV. At that time, she was responsible for a four-and-a-half-hour morning newscast and anchor tasks and also coproduced a 30-minute noon newscast that used to be televised five days a week.
From Dec 2014 – Dec 2017, she worked as a morning news anchor for FOX19 WXIX. Her job was based in Cincinnati, Ohio. most recently, she has been working for WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas as an anchor since January 2018.

When she is not working, Kara Sewell spares her time for volunteering work. She has been involved in various tasks, and art organizations, and also volunteers at the Junior League. Kara Sewell is a happy-living married woman. She is married to the love of her life and her long-time partner, Nick. Nick is currently working as a morning news editor and has remained a photojournalist in the past. The pair met each other in Odessa, Texas, where Kara was having her job.
