On April 11, he was selected SEC Co-Freshman of the Week after leading LSU to a series sweep over Mississippi State (April 8-10), batting.455 (5-for-11) in three games with two homers, six RBI, and two runs scored. Pearson went 2-for-3 with two home runs and five RBI as LSU swept Mississippi State for the first time since May 2017.
