Jackie seems to be indicted on charges of violating her oath of office and obstructing a police officer in connection with an investigation into the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. Ahmaud was a black jogger and was gunned down by two white men who chased him in a truck. The incident was captured on a video by a third white man who driving behind them in another truck. She was accused of showing favor to one defendant in the shooting and was blocking the arrest of Travis Michael and Gregory McMichael. The incident took place on 23rd February 2020. If convicted of that misdemeanor charge she will face up to a year or 5 in jail.
