He was born on 4th February 1970in Wilmington, Delaware. His parents are Neilia Biden and Joe Biden who worked in the US senate from 1973-2003 and also as Vice President from 2009-2017. On 18th December 1972 his mother, sister, and brother met with an accident where only he and his brother Beau survived. Later their tried to be supportive of their father respected his second marriage with Jill Jacob. He did his schooling from Archmere Academy a Catholic high school which is in Claymont, Delaware. Later for further studies, he attended Georgetown University and earned a bachelor’s degree in History. He was transferred to Yale Law School after attending Georgetown University.

In 1993 he married Kathleen Buhle, they both met at a church in Portland, Oregon where Biden used to volunteer. The couples got divorced in 2017 the reason is still not known.
