Elizabeth Szokol is an American personality and a professional golf player. She is an LPGA Tour member and was recently in the news because she participated in the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational [women’s professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour from 19th to 22nd July 2023.

Elizabeth played along with Cheyenne Knight and needed only a par to secure a place on the Iron Throne, but the final scores are yet to announce by the community on the leaderboard. However, Saturday’s game is yet to reveal the name of the top contestants on the list. 

Early Life

Elizabeth Szokol was born on the 21st of July 1996 and brought up in Winnetka, Illinois. She lived with her loving and caring parents, Pam Szokol and Joseph Szokol. She has two siblings – one brother – William Szokol, and one sister – Kimberly Szokol.

Pam Szokol, who is Elizabeth’s mother, has maintained her position as the third female leader of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Chicago. She developed her connection with the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Chicago while on her trip to Israel. Besides, she is also a contributor to various philanthropic and civic organizations.

She is a big supporter and always attends her daughter’s events, happily sharing the pictures on Instagram. Elizabeth’s father, Joseph Szokol, is a doctor and is recently practicing his medicine as an Anesthesiologist in Los Angeles, CA. He has won the honor of the 2020 Distinguished Service Award.

Talking about Elizabeth’s early life, she got injured at the age of 12 and had to undergo knee surgery after playing softball and tennis. After recovering from injury, she resumed her games for golf at 14 and had a contribution to leading the school team at the 2010 Illinois State Championship.

Elizabeth Szokol attended Northwestern University between 2012 and 2014 and won the Academic All-Big Ten and the Second Team All-Big Ten.

Szokol began playing professionally in 2017 and joined Symetra Tour. She had her participated at the Four Winds Invitational and finished in sixth place in the top 10. Then in 2018, she had her seventh place in the top 10, completing her first professional victory at the IOA Invitational. Then she came fourth place on the Symetra Tour Official Money List and earned a membership for the LPGA Tour for the 2019 season.

In 2021, she ranked third in the top 10 finishes, including the runner-up at the Marathon Classic in Ohio. She recorded third place at the Cognizant Founders Cup in New Jersey, after which she was included in the list of top 100 in the Women’s World Golf Rankings for the first time. Additionally, she had 44th place on the LPGA Tour Money List.
