Dominique Sharpton is an American entrepreneur, actress, and producer. She is best known as the Director of Membership at the National Action Network (NAN). Since 2008, she delved more into the worlds of social media and activism, As of now, she gained popularity for the FOX SOUL Show #TheSharptonSisters.
Early Life
Dominique Sharpton was born on 31 July 1986, which makes her 36 years old. She belongs to an African-American family and was raised by parents Kathy Jordan (Mother) and Al Sharpton (Father). She has a sister, Ashley Sharpton. Her grandfather’s name is Alfred Charles Sharpton, Sr., and her grandmother’s name was Ada Richards (Died on 22nd March 2012). Her uncle’s name is Kenneth Sharpton Glasgow (Al Sharpton’s brother). Talking about Dominique’s Education, she graduated from Poly Prep Country Day School in 2004.
Later, she enrolled at Temple University and studied theater, and communications under the mentorship of Bill Cosby, who enrolled her in her first acting school, the Freedom Theater in Philadelphia, PA. At Temple University, she received scholarships from Canaan Baptist Church, The William Fox Scholarship Fund, and Mcdonald’s Corporation. Later, she enrolled at American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), in New York City where she graduated in Feb. of 2007. From 2018 – 2021, she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Entertainment, and Media Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Dominique Sharpton Career
Dominique started her career path at a very young age. She attained fame because of her appearance in the musical “Showboat” as Queenie and also had a shoot in the 2009 movie Duplicity, starring Julia Roberts. Also, she studies the craft and takes classes at TVI actor’s studio in NYC and takes private vocal lessons with a private coach. Dominique has a love for theater and poor children. Apart from this, she has also explored the realms of producing. Dominique has also tried her hands in co-production with her father for the radio show, “Keeping it Real” with Al Sharpton and has also co-produced a Broadway event at Birdland Jazz Club with Amy Birnbaum.
She is also working with her father working on the live radio broadcast rally every Saturday morning from 9‐11 a.m. that is broadcasted on WLIB‐1190 a.m. She is also very involved in “The National Action Network” (NAN) and serves as the Director of Membership for over 45 chapters. Dominique has also worked with her father while organizing various rallies and marches around the country for the pursuit of justice. She dedicates a lot of time to mentoring young people around the city
Dominique also co-founded a youth-based organization with her sister Ashley called “Harlem INC” which has transformed into an entertainment Company called “Sharpton Entertainment LLC”. They work to provide positive outlets for youth and showcase their many talents, as well as raise issues and hardships that young adults are facing and dealing with today. She is also a spokesperson and has given her lectures at various youth organizations. Most recently, Dominique is holding the position of the board president for Education for a Better America (EBA).

Dr. Marcus is professionally working as an Administrator at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. He is holding a degree in Government and World Affairs from the University of Tampa along with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Florida International University. Despite all these, he is a Ph.D. scholar with a degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University, holding the position of Visiting Professor at the University of Massachusetts.
