James was first diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2016 and since then she has been keeping her Instagram followers up to date about her health and how she often feels about her survival. She often shares the progress of her treatment over social media, sharing candid pictures, and discussing the things about the concern. She first noticed the symptoms like weight loss (unexplained), passing blood in the bowel, frequent urination than normal, and feeling tired all the time. When she first sought medical help, she was told that many times cancer does not appear to make you ill and she stroked the first thing in her mind as “cancer”.
