Christine Quinn said in an interview that Christian studied engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston and specializes in all types of engineering, including software platforms. Richards began his career as a software developer, working for a variety of firms and projects. He joined Cisco Systems, Inc. in 2001 as a software engineer and stayed there for about six and a half years. With Edin Arslanagic and John Jannotti, he co-founded Foodler, an online food ordering service based in Boston, in March 2007. Richards retired as an engineer in 2014, at the age of 35. Foodler was sold to GrubHub in 2017, and the agreement was expected to bring in more than $80 million in yearly food sales. He is collaborating with his former colleagues on a new fintech (financial technology) startup as of 2020.

Personal Life
Christine and Christian met in 2019 and married after only a year of dating. They met through a mutual friend who “wasn’t feeling it” on a date with Christian but referred him to Christine when he mentioned he was seeking a new home. Christian eventually fell in love with him, and he even paid $5 million for her “dream mansion” in the Hollywood Hills.
“The house he ended up acquiring was actually my ideal home before I even met Christian,” she told Women’s Health magazine. “I remember sitting in that open house every Sunday before meeting him and picturing myself living there, having coffee with my husband, and that vision came true—I now live in the house that I pictured myself in with my husband.”
They got engaged on one of their many impromptu vacations and married in a church in Los Angeles a few months later in December 2019.
