Chelsea Clinton Biography

Chelsea Clinton is an American Writer who supports and manages campaigns for the Clinton family. She has previously worked with McKinsey & Company, Avenue Capital Group, and NBC News. In 2019 she released a book named “ The book of Gutsy Women: Favorites Stories of Courage and Resilience” co-authored with her mother. Recently she mentioned releasing a new children’s book series this fall and has also reacted to SOTU and Russia’s attack.

Early Life

Chelsea Clinton was born on 27th February 1980 in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. She is the only child of Hillary and Bill Clinton. At the age of three, she started reading newspapers and at the age of vie, she wrote a letter to President Ronal Reagan. Chelsea went to Forest Park Elementary School, Booker Arts and Science Magnet Elementary School, and Horace Mann Junior High School. Later she was sent to Sidwell Friend’s school to avoid the limelight as it was a private school. In 1997 she went to Stanford University and majored in History. The topic of her 167- page senior thesis was the 1998 Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland advised by Jack Rakove.

In 2001 she went to the University of Oxford and pursued her Master’s degree. She received a degree in Master’s of Philosophy in International relations. Her thesis was 132 pages titled as The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria: A Response to Global Threats, a part of a Global Future which was supervised by Jennifer Welsh and Ngaire Woods. In 2011 she was transferred to Wagner School of Public Service at New York University to complete her Doctor of Philosophy degree in International relations. In May 2014 she finished her dissertation which was titled as The Global Fund: An Experiment in Global Governance.

Chelsea Clinton Career

On 20th January 1993, she moved into the White House and was given the secret service codename Energy. Hillary asked the press to limit coverage of her daughter’s participation in public events. In 2012 she was teaching graduate classes at Columbia University. She started her career in 2003 by working with McKinsey & Company in New York City and later in 2006 she went to work for Avenue Capital Group. She worked for Clinton Foundation as co-chair for fundraising week and later became vice-chair of the foundation.

Journalism

In 2011 she worked as a special correspondent with NBC and one of her reporting stories was about Making a Difference for NBC Nightly News and Rock Center with Brian Williams. She has also taken a prominent role at the family’s Clinton Foundation. She is also an author and has written many books. The titles of the book are She Persisted series, It’s your world: Get informed, Get Inspired & Get Going,  Grandma’s Gardens, Don’t Let Them Disappear, Governing Global Health: Who Runs the World and Why? and many more.

In December 2007 she supported her mother in the Democratic Presidential campaign. She had spoken at 100 colleges on behalf of her mother’s candidacy. Again in 2016 she actively participated in her mother’s presidential campaign. In July 2016 she introduced her mother at Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. She has supported her mother during the ups and downs, and also handled criticisms together.

On 31st July 2021, she married Marc Mezvinsky. Marc is an investment banker and they got married in an interfaith ceremony at the Astor Courts Estate in New York. They were first reported to be a couple in 2005 and got engaged over Thanksgiving in 2009. On 26th September 2014, they were blessed with their first child named Charlotte. Later on 18th June 2016, they were blessed with a second child and a son named Aidan. After the birth of Aidan, they moved to the nearby Flatiron District. On 22nd July 2019, their third child Jasper was born.
