Brayden, Arnaud Jobert was born on November 14, 2000, to parents Jacques and Amy Jobert in Slidell, Louisiana. His dad played baseball at Delgado Community College and Nicholls State, and he now works as a hitting coach/instructor; his mom is a loan officer. Reese is his only younger brother.
He went to Northshore High School in Slidell, Louisiana, and played three seasons on the varsity team for the Panthers, receiving All-District accolades as a sophomore, junior, and senior. He was voted District 6-5A MVP and All-Region 10 Hitter of the Year as a senior after hitting.380 with five home runs.

Before enrolling at LSU, he spent the 2021 season playing for Delgado Community College in New Orleans, La., where he hit.386, doubled 15 times, homered 16 times, drove in 71 runs, had an on-base percentage of.469, and slugged.813. At Nicholls State, he played in all 18 games of the 2020 season, with 16 starts, mostly as designated hitter.
He finished the year 2020 with a.365 batting average, a team-high 23 hits, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored, and a 13-game hitting streak. He led the team with five games in which he recorded multiple hits, including a four-hit performance in a home win over Long Island University.
In 59 games (57 starts), Brayden batted.246 (49-for-199) with 10 2B, 1 3B, 18 HR, 58 RBI, and 46 R in 2022. He also started 48 games at DH and 9 games in right field. Behind Dylan Crews, he was LSU’s second-leading home run hitter and RBI producer.
With 18 home runs and nine home runs and twenty-five RBI in SEC regular season games, Jobert finished ninth in the conference. A.500 hitter in four games with one double, one triple, five home runs, and 13 RBI, he was selected the SEC’s Player of the Week for the week of May 23.
Brayden hit.500 (6-for-12) with one double, one triple, three home runs, and ten RBI against Vanderbilt in a three-game series from May 19-21. Jobert hit a grand slam, a three-run homer, and a two-run double to help the Tigers beat Vanderbilt and secure the No. 4 seed in the SEC Tournament on May 21. He drove in nine runs, tying the LSU single-game record.
Rise to Fame
Brayden tied the school RBI record set by Eric Hendrickson against Ohio on March 5, 1999, then launched two home runs and provided three RBI in a win over Northwestern State on May 17. He hit two solo home runs and drove in three runs during the Missouri series, and he had a staggering five home runs and 16 RBI over the course of three games.
Brayden drove in seven runs during LSU’s March 29 victory over UL Monroe, becoming the school’s first player with seven or more RBI since Antoine Duplantis against Georgia on March 17, 2017. He hit.444 (4-for-9) with three home runs, five runs scored, and nine RBI in two games against No. 7 Florida, helping LSU win the series.
His two-run homer in the fourth inning of Game 3 broke a scoreless tie and sparked a four-run LSU outburst. His three-run homer in the sixth inning of Game 3 at Florida capped a seven-run frame, and he finished the game with a career-high five RBI. Brayden hit his first home run of the series in Game 2 against Florida, a three-run shot that was the big punch in a six-run third inning.
