Anthony Ramos Martinez or as we all know him as Anthony Ramos is a 30-year-old American actor, singer, and songwriter who originated the dual role of John Lauren and Philip Hamilton in the Broadway musical called Hamilton. He began his career in the show while it was running off-Broadway in 2015.
Anthony Ramos was born on the 1st day of November in the year 1991. He was born in Bushwick in Brooklyn in the United States of America where he lived with his mother his older brother and his sister. Anthony initially intended on becoming a basketball player but later lost interest in the sport in High School. Ramos attended Halsey Junior High School where he used to sing Motown songs in the assembly of the school. This group that Ramos was a part of was known as ‘The Halsey’ group. He graduated from New Utrecht High School in the year 2009.
He wanted to play NCAA Division III college baseball (It would be quite a treat to think about how far and successful he might have become). Ramos started performing arts after he joined the American Music and Dramatic Academy which was a conservatory for performing arts. He attended this on a full scholarship. He later went on to graduate from the musical theatre program in the year 2011.

After graduating from college in the year 2011, Anthony earned roles in several musical and regional touring groups including Sony de La Vega in the year 2012 in the production of In the Heights. Ramos, in the year 2014 performed in ‘Heart and Lights’ in Radio City Music Hall. During this time, he auditioned for the off-Broadway production of ‘Hamilton’ at The Public Theater. After being cast, he played the role of Justin Laboy in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s short musical 21 Chump Street which was a 14-minute one-time performance done on the 7th day of June in the year 2014
Ramos opened up Broadway early in the year 2015. Where he originated the dual roles of John Lauren and Philip Hamilton. This musical moved to Broadway on the 13th of July in the same year 2015. Ramos played the role of Ramon in the 2018 remake of A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, and directed by Cooper which is a must-watch movie.
On November 8th, 2017, Ramos released two tracks ‘Freedom’ and ‘Common Ground’ from his first solo extended play (EP) titled ‘The Freedom Ep’. This release was produced by Will Wells who had also worked with Logic and Pentatonix. On June 13th, 2019 Ramos signed a contract with Republic Records and was documented on his YouTube series ‘It Takes A Villager’ where he revealed that new music will be released in the summer of that year. His debut album was ‘The Good & The Bad’ and was released on October the 25th 2019 and was number 21 on the US Billboard Heatseeker chart.
